RSS and Atom feeds are nice.
I had two posts about rss feeds earlier. You can find them here and here.
I thought I would link to the feeds I have in thunderbird:
http://grumpygamer.com/rss2.0 - Ron Gilbert's blog(the creator of Monkey Island)
http://www.osnews.com/files/recent.rdf - nerdy stuff
http://www.kahvi.org/kahvi.xml - free electronic music
http://www.npr.org/rss/rss.php?id=13 - Fresh Air, NPR
http://www.bitter-neko.blogspot.com/atom.xml - Bitter Neko's blog. Updates are infrequent, but sometimes good.
http://tangentmind.blogspot.com/atom.xml - My own blog, for vanity's sake.
You can actually add "atom.xml" to any blogger blog, I think, and get the feed.
Slashdot has feeds for all it's news too, I might add that(you can find them in a small link that just says "rss" at the bottom of the page).
If linuxgames.com, telltalegames.com, Doublefine.com, Penny-arcade.com, or mixnmojo.com had an rss feed, I would add those.
I also have a jastplanetojakarta.com feed, but it doesn't seem to be working.
Correction, mixnmojo.com does have an rss feed. Have to read the tiny letters at the bottom of the page.
Also, here is a wikipedia article on RSS, because wikipedia is awesome like that.
